Parliament Continues the Work of the Extraordinary Session

On June 19 the National Assembly continued the work of the extraordinary session. At the beginning of the sitting the NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan informed that the parliament will continue the work of the extraordinary session on Monday, on June 22.

Afterwards the parliament by voting passed the draft laws debated on the previous sitting.

The RA Deputy Minister of Defense Ara Nazaryan submitted for debate in the first reading the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on the Status of the Yerkrapah Volunteer.”

Gagik Jangiryan presented the view of the ANC Faction, expressing his positive opinion on the initiative.

The deputies debated in the third reading the package of draft laws “On the Status of Military Units and Military Institutions” and “On Amending the RA Law on Education,” in the second reading the draft laws “On Amending the RA Law on Employment,” “On Amending the RA Labour Code,” the package of the draft laws “On Amending the RA Law on Foreigners” and “On Amending the RA Law on State Duty.”

The MPs in the second reading also considered the bill “On Amending the RA Investigative Committee,” the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Wastes,” “On Amending the Code on the RA Bowels,” “On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements.”

Afterwards the parliament in the first reading debated the bill “On Amending the RA Law on State Duty,” which presented the RA Deputy Minister of Finance-Chief Treasurer Atom Janjughazyan.

The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gagik Minasyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The deputies Tigran Urikhanyan, Artashes Geghamyan, Mher Shahgeldyan, Aram Manukyan, Hakob Hakobyan and Heghine Bisharyan presented their views.

In his final speech Gagik Minasyan has noted that Armenia is considered a country with less debt burden.

The key speaker Atom Janjughazyan delivered a final speech and touched upon the deputies’ voiced remarks.

By the presentation of the RA First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations Vache Terteryan in the second reading debated the draft law “On the Development of Dilijan City Community and Enclosed Areas of the RA Tavush Marz and the Encouragement of the Investments ,” “On Amending the RA Law on Urban Development” and “On Amending the RA Law on Local Self-Government.” The key reporter introduced the accepted proposals the amendments.

Vache Terteryan submitted the agreement on Creating the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Centre between the RA Government and RF Government signed in Moscow on May 19, 2015.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations also presented the loan agreement on Social Investment and Local Development Project signed between the Republic of Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development on April 8, 2015.

The parliament will resume the work of the extraordinary session on June 22.
